Craig Gingerich Wins event three of The Rev Xtreme Corvette Challenge Event 4

06/09/07 - 13 corvettes came to play on the 1/4 mile. First round started with Oliver Mader and Jerry Seward, both driving C4's. Oliver took the win with a dead on 14.28. Next up areRobin Wahler and Daryl Reis. Robin got the easy win when Daryl had premature acceleration. Tracy Lewis took out Mike Lathrop with 11.623 on an 11.62. Craig Gingerich also gets a first round 1 win. His opponent Clarence Walker broke out by only .002. Michael Laden got a win over Glen Cottrill. Candace Swenson also earned a first round 1 win beating Kevin Roberts. Larry Beutlich earned the first round bye with best reaction time in time trials.
The first pair of round 2 was Tracy and Oliver. Oliver lights the red bulb and sends Tracy to the third round. Next pair up was Robin and Craig, Craig gets the advantage at the tree and goes on to take the win. Next up was Mike Lathrop in his brand new Z06 and Larry in his C5. Larry leaves too early handing the win to Mike. The trend continued with Mike Laden red-lighting against Kevin. Finishing out the round 2 was the pairing of Candace and Clarence. Clarence takes the win and heads to the third round.
Round three featured two re-matches from round 1. The outcome was the same with both pairs. Tracy and Craig head to the semi's with wins over Mike Lathrop and Clarence. Kevin received the bye.

With only three racers left, Craig receives the bye to the finals. Kevin also heads to the finals when Tracy's Corvette rolls through the beams before the tree was activated. Kevin and Craig head to starting line with their nearly identical C5's. Kevin takes the reaction time advantage, but has problems and cant run close to his dial, handing the win to Craig. With the win Craig also takes over the point lead.
