March 2005 - Bradenton, FL - First I would like to thank Dick Swenson for putting up the sponsorship money for this years Florida Corvette Challenge. As most of you did or did not know the Florida Corvette Challenge lost their sponsors this year and we haven't had any trophy's or hats for our winners. So, without the donation of Dick we wouldn't have had any at all this year. Thanks Dick!!!

Let me start by addressing the attendance for the challenge. This month we only had 17 Corvettes registered for the challenge and it just isn't enough. For the Florida Corvette Challenge to succeed we need racers to come out and give their support. I want to encourage everyone to bring a buddy to next months race and make the challenge as successful as it is fun!

Semi round had was Larry Beutlich with is dial-in at 13.15 racing William "Bill" Conte who dialed a 13.30 but with Bill's r/t of .139 he had a lot of ground to make up and Larry took the win running an 13.31. Second race was Marc Fisher with an 11.19 up against Ed Duff with his dial-in at 13.10. Ed had a head start and a little too early getting a red-light and giving Marc the win and slot in the Finals for the 3rd straight month.

The Finals are set with Marc Fisher racing Larry Beutlich (2004 Florida Corvette Challenge Points Champion). Marc dialed an 11.19 giving Larry a two-second head start with his dial in at 13.15. Larry had a great r/t of .030 to take the early lead then Marc did one better with a r/t of .011 to run an 11.198 to take the win. That is two months in a row for Marc, with a runner up the month before.
