Craig Gingerich Wins Championship While Dan Bouldry wins Event 7
Glen Cottrill
8 September 2007 / dateline ~ Bradenton, Florida - 14 Corvette-owners competed in the final race of the 2007 RevXtreme Corvette Challenge season under much-cooler conditions (low 90*s ) than previous races, but with the Points Championship yet to be decided, the action was hot, especially in the pits of Candace Swenson, who's '72 developed a leaking carb as it was backed-off the trailer:
as her family & crew left the track in-search of a replacement, a group of racers, led by Kevin Roberts & Tracy Lewis, alternated between making their time-runs and working to remove the offending piece and getting the car ready for the swap
(I helped/got-in-the-way, too, and didn't get many pictures during time-shots today )
When her crew returned, time-trials had concluded, but her fellow racers and the staff at BMP allowed her to make a pair of quick runs before eliminations, to make-sure the car was safe and a non-leaker.
Once the First Round began, Thomas Renick brought-out his C5 for the first time this season, and had the misfortune to face points-leader Craig Gingerich, who mowed-down the tree with a .010 RT to win, Ollie Mader fouled-out against R.J. Gordon, Richard Martell beat Jerry Seward in a battle of C4s, the most-recent winner Kevin Roberts advanced against Chuck Davis' Z06, Larry Beutlich squeaked-out a win over James McHale, Dan Bouldry bested Robin Wahler in a double-breakout match-up, and Swenson's '72 got-by Tracy Lewis
Between rounds, Swenson's team made some tuning-changes to the carb, which resulted in a 13.299-run on her 13.35 dial-in against Gordon, ending her chances of claiming the Points Championship in just her second season:
Bouldry proved his 1st Round .019 RT was no-fluke with a .006 against Martell, Roberts defeated Seward, Lewis ran 111.711 on his 11.70 dial to end Beutlich's day, McHale went into the 3rd round when he beat Davis, and the newly-crowned Points Champ Gingerich bested Wahler's C6.
In the Quarter-Finals, Lewis and Gordon both ran .006-under, with Lewis winning due to a quicker RT, Roberts' steady .04-RT was good-enough to beat McHale's wheel-spinning C6, and Bouldry advanced into the Semis by beating Gingerich, with the knowledge he had the odd-lot bye-run into the Final Round:
in those Semi-Finals, Roberts had his 3rd straight .04 RT in beating Lewis, and Bouldry went .015 on his single.
In the Finals, Kevin Roberts barely fouled, ending his opportunity to win 3 of the last 5 races this season, in handing the victory to Dan Bouldry, who foot-braked his 9-second '68 Corvette to consecutive Reaction Times of .019, .006, .031, and .015 in the previous 4 rounds of competition:
he also set Low ET & Top Speed with his 9.620 @ 140.44 blast in the Finals, and had the best RT of the day in Round #2 at .006, while multi-time Champion Larry Beutlich had the 'nearest-miss' with his -.014 RT in Round #2

25 August 2007 / dateline - Bradenton, Florida: With just 2 races remaining in the 2007 RevXtreme Corvette Challenge season to decide the Points Championship, and a single point between leader Craig Gingerich and 'huntress' Candace Swenson, 19 Corvette-owners came to Bradenton Motorsports Park under sunny morning skies to do-battle, including at-least 5 rookies to our Series:
of the 3 first-timers we had in July, only R.J. Gordon returned (one of the other recent newbie’s had his car crashed-into on the street after the last race, while the 3rd racer didn't risk traveling 3+ hours with a chance of rain in the area), and frequent competitor Marc Fisher chose to make time-only runs in his quick C5, testing a new motor combination, instead of racing with us, so we could've had an even-larger field.
Defending Champion Larry Beutlich showed why he's won before, earning the odd-lot 1st Round bye with a stellar RT in the final time-session, and backed that up with a .017 to advance into Round #2, while 1st-timer Chuck Davis moved into the next round when most-recent Winner Ollie Mader fouled-out, another rookie, Robert Shiels Sr. won when Swenson had an uncharacteristic poor RT:
other 1st Round pairings were James McHale over Chip Levick, Gary Guest taking-advantage of rookie Rob Shiels Jr.'s foul, Larry Broadly winning the 'Battle of C6s' against Robin Wahler, Gordon holding-off Rudy Szilagyi's '03 ZO6, Gingerich capitalizing on Swenson's bad-luck by beating 1st-timer John Kauffman, Tracy Lewis defeating Kevin Roberts, and Dan Warren running 14.291 on his 14.29 dial-in (with a .026 RT) to get-by Dan Bouldry.
In the 2nd Round, Davis' previously-consistent '01 ZO6 (12.98, 12.97, 12.97) spun the tires and couldn't cover his dial-in against Gordon, Shiels Sr.'s '91 ran .024 under in losing to Gingerich, but Shiels Jr. advanced when Beutlich ran just .002 too-quick, Warren's C4 ran .09 under, handing the win to Broadly, Wahler ended McHale's day on a double-breakout, Roberts beat Guest, and Lewis ran just .001-under his dial, but won when Bouldry's C3 turned-on the Big Red Eye.
while the BMP Staff prepped the track before the next round, storm clouds began to appear, while lightning on the horizon, so we hurried to get-in the 3rd Round of competition, with Gordon getting the starting-line advantage against Shiels Jr to win, Lewis beating Wahler, Roberts advancing despite Broadly having a slight RT-advantage, and Gingerich having the solo into the Semi-Finals:
the winning Reaction Times of this round, respectively, were .037, .018, .040, and .036
The skies opened-up before we could begin the Semi-Finals, and the Lewis' graciously offered all remaining Corvette-racers to stay-dry in their large motor home near our staging-area:
all 4 remaining Semi-Finalists were there, in-addition to myself, Wahler, and various friends and racers, discussing strategies, including deep-staging, dial-in, dumping, etc., except one racer who shall remain nameless, who spoke ad-nauseum about wanting to eat B-B-Q at Sonny's.....
After more than 2 hours, BMP Personnel had the track ready for action again, and Lewis knocked-off Gingerich, and Gordon's day ended with an rare foul-start (he'd gone .025, .036, and .037 in his 2nd-ever race with the car) to place Roberts, who earlier this season 'won-the-Wally', into another Final round:
with both racers having identical RT in the Semis, Lewis was awarded lane-choice by his better Reaction Time in the previous quarterfinal-round, and choose the Right Lane, but it didn't matter as Roberts gained a starting-line advantage of .015, then ran less-under, 13.253 on his 13.30 to Lewis' 11.634 on his 11.72 dial-in, as both racers were 'guessing' after the long rain-delay and changing atmospheric conditions.
Once-again, Dan Bouldry had Low-ET and Top-Speed of the event with a 9.677 / 138.71 blast, and Gingerich had not-only the Best RT of the day with his .001 in Round #2, but he also had the 'closest-miss' with his -.009 in the Semis against Lewis.
The Track had problems printing-out the updated Points Standings after this race due to electrical glitches after the storm, so they couldn't be forwarded to Redgar at this time, but the track DOES have them recorded, and they will be sent to Tracy Lewis @ RevXtreme, then onto Redgar for the web-site. REDGAR EDIT, Points have been calculated and updated!
Our last race of the 2007 season is Saturday morning 8 September, and we'd like to have the largest turnout of the year to-date for that event:
because of the long rain-delay, our planned gathering at Sonny's BBQ was aborted, but we can meet-up after the season-finale for a bench-racing/lie-telling session!
For pictures and to congratulate the drivers visit The Corvette Forum.
Schedule Update. No October Race. Sept Finale
07/19/07 - Please be advised we are taking the October 20 race off of the schedule. There will be no RevXtreme Corvette Challenge at Bradenton in October. Our season finale will be September 8, 2007 so we only have two races left. We apologize for any inconvenience. To discuss this item, visit the Corvette Forum.
Olivier Mader Scores in Event 5
Glen Cottrill
14 July 2007 / dateline - Bradenton, Florida: - Under a blazing Florida sun, driving temperatures into the high-90*s and the heat-index to 107*+, a dozen Corvette-owners went to Bradenton Motorsports Park Saturday morning, 14 July, trying to win the 5th race of the 2007 RevXtreme Corvette Challenge Series, including 3 first-time participants, and with 4 racers in the Top-10 not attending, the Points Standings would change after this event.
In First Round action, Tracy Lewis fouled-out against Jerry Seward, who's '86 then ran 14.936 on a .94 dial-in to advance, while 1st-timers R.J. Gordon & David Matte squared-off, with Matte running well-under his previous best E.T. of 13.62 and breaking-out with a 13.50-run:
Ollie Mader got past Daryl Reis' '94, Candace Swenson knocked-off rookie Matt Freeman's 11-second Z06, Points-Leader Craig Gingerich advanced on James McHale's red-light, and Dan Bouldry's 9-second '68 eeked-past Robin Wahler.
With 5 losers buying-back into Eliminations, the 2nd Round had 11 cars answer the call, and saw Mader with an odd-lot bye-run, Tracy Lewis ending Gingerich's day with an 11.866-run on his 11.86 dial-in, Seward run 14.966 on his .96 dial against Matte to advance, Freeman uncork an 11.657 run on his 11.63-dial to beat McHale, Gordon fouled-out against Wahler, and in a battle of old-C3s, Swenson held-off Bouldry's 137-MPH blast after having RTs within .003-seconds of each-other.
In the Quarter-Finals, Wahler used an excellent .017 RT to send Freeman home, Swenson won against Seward, who's car unexpectedly ran 4/10s under after having nearly-identical lights, and in a clash of titans, Mader's .003-RT & 14.487 (on a 14.47 dial ) was enough to beat Lewis's .024/11.890 on a 11.86 dial.
Candace Swenson earned the free-pass into the Final Round, and although Robin Wahler had a starting-line advantage of .029 to .094 versus Mader, his low 12-second C6 howled the tires down-track, running 12.717 on his 12.05 dial, and Ollie advanced to his 2nd Final in 3 races, running 14.561 on his 14.48 dial-in.
In the Final, Mader gained a slight-advantage off the line, and when Candace's '72 couldn't cover her dial-in, running 13.445 on a .40 dial-in, Ollie's 14.501 on his 14.50 dial was good-enough for the win:
With the win, Mader moved within 4 rounds of the points-leader, and the additional Bonus Point Swenson earned as R/U places her just a single point of Gingerich, who remains atop the standings, with 3 races remaining on the schedule.
Dan Bouldry's '68 Corvette had the quickest & fastest time-slip of the day at 9.778 @ 137.25, while Ollie's .003-RT in the 3rd Round was the best-light of the event during Eliminations, and Tracy Lewis' -.012 was the 'nearest-miss' of the day.

Craig Gingerich Wins event three of The Rev Xtreme Corvette Challenge Event 4
Craig Gingerich
06/09/07 - 13 corvettes came to play on the 1/4 mile. First round started with Oliver Mader and Jerry Seward, both driving C4's. Oliver took the win with a dead on 14.28. Next up areRobin Wahler and Daryl Reis. Robin got the easy win when Daryl had premature acceleration. Tracy Lewis took out Mike Lathrop with 11.623 on an 11.62. Craig Gingerich also gets a first round 1 win. His opponent Clarence Walker broke out by only .002. Michael Laden got a win over Glen Cottrill. Candace Swenson also earned a first round 1 win beating Kevin Roberts. Larry Beutlich earned the first round bye with best reaction time in time trials.
The first pair of round 2 was Tracy and Oliver. Oliver lights the red bulb and sends Tracy to the third round. Next pair up was Robin and Craig, Craig gets the advantage at the tree and goes on to take the win. Next up was Mike Lathrop in his brand new Z06 and Larry in his C5. Larry leaves too early handing the win to Mike. The trend continued with Mike Laden red-lighting against Kevin. Finishing out the round 2 was the pairing of Candace and Clarence. Clarence takes the win and heads to the third round.
Round three featured two re-matches from round 1. The outcome was the same with both pairs. Tracy and Craig head to the semi's with wins over Mike Lathrop and Clarence. Kevin received the bye.
Discuss this race on The Corvette Forum
With only three racers left, Craig receives the bye to the finals. Kevin also heads to the finals when Tracy's Corvette rolls through the beams before the tree was activated. Kevin and Craig head to starting line with their nearly identical C5's. Kevin takes the reaction time advantage, but has problems and cant run close to his dial, handing the win to Craig. With the win Craig also takes over the point lead.
Kevin Roberts wins the Wally in Event 3
Craig Gingerich
05/12/07 - Kevin Roberts wins the Wally at the National Dragster challenge edition of the Rev Xtreme Corvette Challenge. Kevin raced Oliver Mader in the finals.
Kevin had a great .019 light to Oliver's .062 Which was the deciding factor in this race. The lone semi-finalist was Candace Swenson. Candace also took over the points lead. The 1/4 finals also had some great racing.
Candace took out Larry Beutlich with a 13.337 on her 13.33 dial. Next up was Craig Gingerich ( dialed 13.25) and Kevin Roberts (13.23) in nearly identical pewter C5's. Kevin took the win in a double break out (-.005 to -.015) I want to thank all the racers for coming out, even with the smoke, love bugs and threat of rain. I hope to see you all again on June 9th

Candace finishes out round 2 with almost perfect package. .001 r.t. and 13.110 on a 13.11 dial. The Unfortunate victim in the other lane was defending champion Larry Beutlich. Larry also had a near perfect light with a -.001 redlight.
Round three starts with Dan Bouldry putting Craig Gingerich on the trailer, after Craig breaks out. Glen Conttrill advances over Larry Broadly with a excellent .018 r.t.. Robert Hyclak also advances to the semi-finals with a win over Candace Swenson.
With only three racers left Robert gets the bye to the final. The other 2 semi-finalists were Glen in his 16 second C3 and Dan in his mid 9 second C3. Glen took off first with a .082 r.t. 6.5 seconds later Dan leaves with a .166 r.t.. Glen takes the stripe first with a 16.15 on a 16.07 dial.
In the final round Glen dials a 16.16 against Robert's 12.80. Glen wins his first Rev Xtreme Corvette Challenge after Robert pushes the tree too hard and redlights.

Points Standings Updated - Beutlich Three Time Champion
12/1/06 - I realize I am a little late on this but I have updated the points for the 2006 RevXtreme Corvette Challenge. Congratulations to Larry Beutlich who has captured the title for an amazing third time in a row. You can view point for the prior four years at the 2006 Points Standings page.
Will do an article on the final race as soon as I can capture some more time. If you would like to help out with writing an article, please let me know.
Liz Mulig Wins Her First Corvette Challenge in Event 8
10/28/06 - Bradenton, FL - The RevXtreme Florida Corvette Challenge Event 8 was under way and the big news was Liz Mulig has captured her first RCC event win in only her second appearance but the even bigger news is Craig Gingerich's chances keeping Larry Beutlich from capturing his fourth RCC Championship in a row took a bad hit when he failed to get past first round and Beutlich went on to gain 30 points on him. There is only one event left for the 2006 season and Beutlich holds and 80 point lead. Beutlich needs only to pass tech to capture the championship now for an amazing fourth year in a row. Not only did Gingerich lose ground to 1st place Beutlich but third place, Marc Fisher, went 1 round more than Gingerich and now sits 2 points out of second place.
Larry Beutlich won the "Best Package" award with a .030 light ran 11.00 on a 11.08 dial for a .038 package.
Round One
Tracy Lewis was out first in the first round against Tom Colby. Lewis was better on both ends of the race against the first time racer Colby, who he hopefully did not scare away. Tracy was .140 and 11.785 on 11.76 dial in this round. Gary Guest did the same to another new guest to our Challenge when he eliminated James McHale in the C6 in a double breakout race. Gary was under by less with a 12.896 on 12.91 to McHale's 12.902 on 12.95 dial. Our third new driver suffered the same fate. Glen Cottrill cut a great light at .033 and was on his way to win but broke out going 16.015 on 16.09 dial in the 1982 Corvette giving the win to Richard Martell who was .055 on the tree and 13.277 on 13.23 dial. Larry Beutlich cut a .016 light and got the win with Dan Bouldry went red by -.001. Robin Wahler got the win when eventual event winner, Liz Mulig, sent herself to the buy back lane missing a shift and not running her number. In the battle for second place in the standing it was Fisher over Gingerich when Fisher was .051 on the tree and 11.60 on 11.53 dial to Gingerich's .030 and 13.193 on 13.02 dial well on the brakes. Candace Swenson got the lucky draw got the bye run this round and went 13.084 on 13.06 dial.
Round Two
All of the first round runner-up bought back in with the exception of Colby. In addition, Blair Bannock bought into the second round as well after missing first round which was hotly debated but an accepted practice in buy-back type races which was confirmed by Bradenton Motorsports officials. So we were back at 13 Corvettes for round two. Tracy Lewis would get Gingerich in this round and Gingerich lit the red light, -.022 giving Lewis the win and free pass in which he went under 11.745 on 11.76 dial but it did not matter as Generic was red. Robin Wahler also was the benefactor of a red when James McHale went -.014 red. Gary Guest took out his second rookie of the day when he won on both ends cutting a better light with a .081 and running closer to his dial of 12.90 running 12.959 over the '82 Corvette. In an identical .076 reaction time race, Richard Martell came out the winner over Candace Swenson when he was closer to his dial of 13.25 with a 13.329. Dan Bouldry advanced to the third round when Marc Fisher was late on the tree. Liz Mulig was able to eliminate late arriver and late on the tree driver Brannock while Beutlich got the bye this round.
Round Three
Dan Bouldry advanced in his high 9-second Corvette when Tracy Lewis dropped a red light on him. Beutlich used a .039 light to defeat Gary Guest. Robin Wahler cut a .067 and defeated Martell to advance. Liz Mulig got the single this round.
Round Four
Four Corvettes left for the semi-final round. Robin Wahler would get paired with Beutlich. Both drivers went red but Beutlich, dialed 13.11, went red first so Wahler's red did not matter. Wahler ran it out to a 12.10 on 12.25 to which luckily did not cost him. Mulig would face the 9.69 dialed Bouldry. Mulig was better on the tree with a .053 and on the dial running 12.098 on 12.04 dial in the 97 Corvette and she was on her way to the final in only her second appearance in the RCC Corvette Challenge.
Final Round
Wahler kept his 12.25 dial despite running 12.10 in the previous pass. Mulig kept her 12.04 dial. Wahler was late, way late and Mulig was off with her best light of the day when it counted, .031. Both drivers stayed in it and both broke out but it was Mulig breaking out by less. Mulig was 11.917 on the 12.04 while Wahler 11.906 on 12.25. These two cars would make for a nice heads-up match up as ET's were almost identical. Congratulation to Liz Mulig. She has definitely caught the bug and has gotten the hang of bracket racing pretty quickly.
Congratulate the drivers on the www.corvetteforum.com.

Larry Beutlich Returns To the Winner Circle in Event 7
09/23/06 - Bradenton, FL - The RevXtreme Florida Corvette Challenge finally got a full race in after and rainout and a race called after one round. In the end it was Larry Beutlich taking his second event win of 2006 and retaking the points lead. Three new racers were a part of our 15 car count for the day. We welcome Liz Mulig, 1997 Corvette, Larry French, 2006 Corvette and Jay Moorecraft with 2002 Z06.
Marc Fisher won the "Best Package" award with a .006 light ran 13.087 on a 13.08 dial for a .1300 package
Round One
Was it team orders or excellent racing when Tracy Lewis took out RevXtreme team racer Craig Gingerich? Lewis cut a .024 light and ran 11.762 on 11.75 to take out the championship contender who ran .014 and 13.145 on 13.12 dial. Bob Korreck advanced when Bruce Littler left first and red. Beutlich advanced with 13.315 on 13.28 dial and .067 light taking out Liz Mulig. Richard Martell survived a .149 RT when Larry French could not fair better. Kevin Roberts scored a .017 reaction time and was on the brakes when new racer Jay Moorecraft struggled at the tree. Blair Brannock took the first round win on when Olivier Mader went red with the Grand Sport C3. Marc Fisher cut the best light of the round with a .006 and topped it off with the dead-on 13.097 on 13.09 dial rendering Gary Guest's .015 light a 1st round runner-up. Candace Swenson drew the single run and went red on the free pass. Reaction times for this round were stellar to say the least
Round Two
With buy backs were back at 13 Corvettes for second round. Lewis took out another of his racers, Kevin Roberts as both drivers went red, Roberts first with a -.004 and Lewis next with a -.008. Moorecraft redeemed himself with a .042 light but could not run the number so Littler advance despite a late light. Gingerich came back with a vengeance though not collecting all important points and Korreck was the unfortunate first victim for Craig when he went red. Swenson took the loss going almost perfect but on the red side with a -.001 allowing Brannock to move on. Fisher took the single this round and ran 13.091 on 13.08 dial.
Round Three
Lewis continued his teardown of the tree with a .033 light and was able to lift at top end as Larry French's first RCC day came to and end with a .126 light and 13.130 run on 13.06 dial. Beutlich took a .017 light to a win when Littler was off his dial 13.952 on 13.60 dial. Fisher moved on when Brannock had trouble and could not finish the run. Gingerich moved on with the bye run.
Round Four
Beutlich ended Lewis' day despite another great light at .042 when his light was better at .023 in a close semi final race. After Fisher had the best package in round one, he had his worst light of the day and was 13.115 on 13.08 dial which allowed too room and Gingerich capitalized and moved on to the final.
Final Round
While being in the final is a great place to be for Gingerich, the fact that he had to buy back in after losing first round meant he could only pick up a 1 or 2 pt bonus in addition to his tech points. This meant Beutlich was leaving here the leader with only two events to go this season. The drivers left almost together with Beutlich dialed 13.40 to Gingerich's 13.19. Beutlich took the RT advantage .052 to .065. Gingrich would break out catching and passing Beutlich at the stripe in a double breakout race. Beutlich broke out by .035 while Gingerich broke out by .040. Gingerich broke out by .004 more so Beutlich takes the win. A former champion, Beutlich finds himself now in the lead for another championship.
Congratulate the drivers on the www.corvetteforum.com.

05/06/06 - Bradenton, FL - The RevXtreme Florida Corvette Challenge had its second annual race on National Dragster day at Bradenton Motorsports Park. This meant the winner of today's Corvette Challenge would also be awarded an NHRA replica National Trophy featuring a statuate of NHRA found Wally Parks. This is a coveted trophy and the RevXtreme is the only Corvette Challenge Challenge nationally that get's its own Wally. Tracy Lewis was fortunate enough to dice his way through the field of Corvettes going five rounds to get the win and the extra trophy. Fourteen drivers made it to the first round for the chase.
Tracy Lewis was was first up with his 2001 Corvette against Bruce Littler in his 2002. Lewis was left on at the tree but Littler had the round in his grasp but took too much stripe and broke out running 13.501 on 13.58 dial. Jerry Norton brought out a low 9-second Vette and was late on the tree with his 9.07 dial after having to wait 4 seconds on Richard Martell's 13.26 dialed '96 Corvette. Martell too the win with the better light. Larry Beutlich was on again with .021 light and 13.213 on 13.20 dial defeating Dan Bouldry (previous event winner) who ran under chasing Larry with 9.763 on 9.80 dial. Newcomer Greg Hillanbrandt was paired with previous champion, Emily Lewis and Hillanbrandt cut a better light, believe it, and both drivers broke out. Hillanbrandt was .001 under with a 12.579 on 12.58 dial and Emily was .006 under with a 12.244 on 12.25 dial. What a close race. Candace Swenson got a free pass to the second round when Jay Heath, Vette Magazine editor, went red in his first Corvette Challenge round of competition. The final pair was Craig Gingerich and Marc Fisher. Gingerich cut a .056 and ran dead on with a 4 on his 13.18 dial. That means he ran 13.184 for those not familiar with the term. Fisher, meanwhile went red.
100% buyback for round two would mean that we would have another 7 pair for round 2. Tracy Lewis got Litter again. This time Littler cut a .008 light to put the pressure on Mr. Lewis. Pressure, what pressure, as Lewis was a true dead-on runing 14.060 on 14.06 dial and it was good enought to make up the deficit at the tree as Littler could not run the his number. Lady Lewis was back up next and left conservitavely but it did not matter as Robin Wahler went red just after Emily took off. Mark Fisher was up next with against Gary Guest. The drivers had nearly identical lights but Guest ran his under his dial of 13.18 by .006 and Fisher would move on. It was Greg Hillanbrandt's turn agaisnt "The Editor", Jay Heath. Two rookies going at and it was Heath who was on the bad side when he went red moving Hillanbrandt to the next round. Next match was Jerry Norton dialed 9.10 strating late and running under with a 9.054 @ 143.81. This sent Martell to the next round with his .043 and 13.297 on 13.27 dial. Dan Bouldry used a stellare .019 light on Larry Beutlich to defeat him as it appeared both dirvers were hesitant to take the stripe with Bouldry running 9.878 on 9.75 dial and Beutlich 13.319 on 12.13 dial. In the final pair, Candace Swenson used a .039 light to eliminat Craig Gingerich's chances of repeating for the Wally as he went red by -.030.
Tracy Lewis would win in the first pair out when he left the gate with a .112 light and saw his win light on mid track as Greg Hillanbrandt, dial two seconds quicker, lit the red light. Next pair was Candace and Emily. Candace cut a .018 light proving to Emily that seat time matters as she was late and broke out trying to catch Candace's 13.693 on 13.66 dial. Richard Martell would move on to the next round when Marc Fisher lit the red again taking himeself out. Dan Bouldry had the by this round and used it to run 9.859 on 9.78 dial.
Four drivers left with a chance at the Wally. Only two more rounds to win. Tracy Lewis was off clean with a .079 tree and again he saw his win light come up early. Candace Swenson hit the tree really hard and drew the red with a -.014.
